Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provides care for adults and pediatric patients including the diagnosis, surgical and adjunctive treatment of diseases, injuries and defects involving both the functional and esthetic aspects of the hard and soft tissues of the oral and maxillofacial region.

Patient finacial responsibility notification: please expect to two (2) bills for services.

1.)  For the doctor’s time, UCSF will bill you for:

  • Exams and Consults
  • Physician Surgery
  • Extraction(s)
  • Anesthesiologist  (General Anesthesia, Procedural Sedation)
  • Radiologist (Reading of X-ray)

 2.)   For the space and equipment used, SFGH will bill you for:

  • Basic Exam
  • Minor Surgery (Local)
  • Surgery (IV/General Anesthesia)
  • Surgical Repair
  • Medications (Penicillin or Hydrocortisone)
  • Radiology Exam
